Finally, after 4 years since our last face-to-face gathering in Madrid and one year since the delayed virtual conference in Geneva, the RIPE@2022 conference was finally back! This 11th RIPE Conference, “Between the Fourth Estate and the Fifth Power. Conservation and Innovation in Public Service Media Journalism“, was hosted by the University of Vienna and sponsored by the Austrian public service broadcaster, ORF.
We had three days of intensive debate where we were able to share different ideas on and approaches to Public Service Media (and in a such a wonderful city!). We had the chance to visit the headquarters of the ORF, where we were given a tour around the brand new newsroom of the Austrian public service corporation after an inspiring round of keynotes and panels (which you can watch here). Thus, the IAPMR community would like to thank the ORF and the University of Vienna for organising such an amazing conference.
In case you missed the announcement in the Gala Dinner, save the date for the next RIPE@ Conference, because in 2024 we will be traveling to Lisbon (Portugal). We look forward to seeing you all there!
