The forthcoming RIPE@2024 Conference will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from the 16th to the 18th of May, 2024. The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Nova University (Lisbon, Portugal), Porto University (Porto, Portugal) and the University of Santiago de Compostela (Santiago, Spain) join forces to organize next year’s conference in partnership with Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP), Portugal’s public service broadcaster.
The topic for RIPE@2024 is Public Service Media for Innovation and Sustainability. In this regard, the organizers welcome paper proposals that address the following topics:
- What PSM is doing to restore trust in news and information and how to improve
- What PSM is doing and needs to do to support and facilitate sustainability
- Projects and achievements in the pursuit of innovation in PSM organizations
- PSM as national organizations in the context of global media systems and competition
- What the next generation needs and should expect from PSM providers
The submission of abstracts (max. 700 words) is open until January 14, 2024 February 25, 2024 (Deadline extended). Full papers are due May 5, 2024.
