ActNow! is a network that advocates for a pan-European, independent, and non-commercial platform, for an Internet for the Public Good and an European Digital Public Sphere. This umbrella coalition met at the University of Vienna in June 2023 discuss alternatives to the dominant digital giants and future prospects for the development of digital public spaces beyond commercial interests.
The presentations of the participants, that included representatives from international organizations such as the EBU and the Council of Europe, media professionals and scholars, introduced a wide array of best practices from both public service media organizations and civil society.
